This is a really interesting controversy. It does seem like the lesson learned is to not have strong opinions and to straddle the fence rather than risk offending someone. Although beauty pageants have come along way, perhaps they are still a little backward in just wanting ladies to be beautiful to look at, but not to be intelligent, outspoken, or individuals. That really seems to be the message they are sending. Speak your mind and you lose, give a generic peace and love answer and you get rewarded???
