I finally had enough when I found myself making 3 meals-- one for picky daddy, one for picky toddler and then the baby. *I* am not picky, why in the world do they have to be?!

I got some fabulous advice from a wise 80-something year old woman. When I explained my problem to her, she said plainly "Honey, that's your problem! You have to stop asking them what they want. Your job is to cook it. Their job is to eat it. End of story."

I found that not only can my kids learn to eat what's in front of them (besides, it's good life skills to eat what is before you!), but my husband is not nearly so picky if I don't give him a choice. I keep his preferences in mind when I'm cooking, but if he's hungry, he'll usually eat it-- and might even find that it tasted better than he thought it would!

Okay, end of my novel here, Karin. :-)

Love,
Marsha
