Drinking like a Pioneer Woman

Before I come off sounding like an alcoholic, let me assure you, as my friends in real life know, I rarely drink. But sometimes I consider taking it up!

Here is the first thing I made out of The Pioneer Woman cooks, cookbook.
Sangria.
Say what you want, but it was delish.

Perfect for a Sunday gathering with friends.
Next I'll try something you can serve the children.

Do your kids have any favorites from this cookbook?

Lots! Chicken spaghetti and MM Favorite sandwich are two of my favorites. I will have to try the sangria soon

Sounds delicious + refreshing. I haven't yet picked up a copy of Ree's book, but it's definitely on my "must-read" list for 2010. :)

You know, I haven't even checked any of my cookbooks to see if they have a recipe for sangria.

(Probably because all the cookbooks that are given to me are Mormon Ward cookbooks!)

I'm a proud Christian homeschooling mother of 5 and wife to a Road Warrior CEO. Four of our children came through the miracle of IVF and 1 through the miracle of adoption. Before I became a home educator I was a interior decorator, event planner, store owner and professional organizer! Now I get to use my past professional skills (and a few new ones) to the benefit of my family and our home.
