Baby it's cold outside!

I'm sure all the Florida bloggers are driving the Northern ones insane right about now. But, I'm seriously freezing and I've held back as long as I could.

When I lived in the frozen tundra, otherwise known as Pennsylvania, I would stay inside my house for months at a time. Never venturing out. I would order the groceries online and open the back door to let the dog out and open it back to let her inside. When we had snow, I'd have our babysitter or my husband take the kids out for 30 minutes tops in their snowsuits while I watched from a window, or took hot shower number #10.

It is so cold here that I've even stopped going to Starbucks. The thought of walking to my car is just too much for me to handle.

We have no groceries in the house because no one delivers groceries around here (see I'm not the only one who doesn't want to venture out), but hey, Pizza and Chinese always deliver and I'm happy to place a call so the children are being fed. Don't worry.

The tortoise has been brought inside the house and the plants outside are all wrapped up and cozy. I think the citrus trees could use a scarf, but I'm not going outside to properly accessorize them.

Brrrrrr.

Its cold outside and its just not natural for Florida.

Much like this look that is apparently the rage on the beaches of Italy of all places!

I hear ya! We're not as warm here in coastal NC as you are in Florida most of the time, but it STILL shouldn't be this cold!

I thought I left all this behind in PA, too.

Thankfully, no snow...yet.

Wait. You don't wear your scarf with your bikini? How else will you stay warm? ;-)

I'm all for a good scarf, but please.

And I remember driving through PA...it was beyond cold. Beyond.

Ack! A scarf with a swimsuit is just wrong, let alone with a bikini!

I also have issue with mixing certain fabrics and prints-- like a plaid print on a summery material drives me nuts.

I cannot believe you stopped going to Starbucks! Do you have an espresso maker at home? I think I would be utterly miserable without mine! (and I think mine actually taste better than Starbucks.) :)

It IS cold! Brian keeps getting mad at me for running the heat all day, but I'm freezing and can't warm up. I'm thinking we might have to go sit in the car with the heater on and do our school there!

Have you tried Schwann's? I've never ordered from them, but know people that have. Pretty sure they are in your area.

Lol karin I had no idea you were such a princess, get your butt to Utah and we'll get you on the slopes. You can experience warming up your car in the morning in order for the stick shift to release. Bring your swimming suit and scarf for sledding :)

Ok that pictures cracks me up, I mean seriously? LOL!

You are too funny! Don't they have a safeway or something where you live?! Pretty sure you can make it from your door to your car without a problem. LOL!!!

Hey. I just stumbled on your blog. I LOVE your FL blog. Thanks so much. My son is researching Florida and this is just another great resource. Cute blog (my daughter wanted to know if that was you in the bikini) :)!!

I thought that picture of the girl on the beach was me for a minute...how weird that it's not. I wait, I've got the white, pasty post pregnancy body without the scarf. It's cold in West Texas and I'm still not wearing a scarf.

Tami,
You can assure your daughter that is NOT me in the bikini.

I've never even been to Italy! Maybe one of these days...although if you have to wear a scarf I may need to pass.

While I wouldn't mind having her abs I'm not sure I could strut down the beach in that bikini even if I was sure to cover up my neck so much in a fashionable scarf.

We are FREEZING here. FREEZING! I'm over it and ready for Spring and just a little bit of sunshine...I'm not needy - I need just a little sun - a few minutes is all I ask! ;-)
