I am always fascinated by the differences I see in men and women. Especially those between my husband and me.
Why does he not hear the baby screaming at the top of her lungs?
Even when she screams DADDY?
Why is it that when I wake him up,
I do that with the 4th child now.
He does all sorts of things before going to her room?
You know like use the bathroom instead of taking care of the baby while risking bladder explosion…or eating…getting properly dressed….etc.
…And why, oh why don’t I do these things?

Oh, I have so many of these questions and frustrations, too! (And a few that I've blogged about have gotten me into trouble with my in-laws, hee hee) Please, oh please, if you ever find out the answers, SHARE THEM WITH ME!
Super cute blog!!!
Men seem to have less biological connection to children. I don't mean they love less but their bones don't seem to scream when the child cries.
My Hubs doesn't hear anything. I would think that he's faking, but there's not even a pause in his snoring, so I guess not.
I have to shake him, hit him, kick him(that sounds really violent, doesn't it?) to get him to get up with one of the kids.
Isn't that frustrating? While he's taking the time to pee…you have become fully-awake and you may as well get up yourself.
It's almost as if they're hoping to make you as miserable as you obviously are making them…you know, make it a bad experience, so you won't ask them anymore. Pah-leeze. I think they're all in it together.
Visiting from the rollcall…and I love your comment tagline…It feels like Christmas! LOL, yeah it does:)
yup, my husband is almost in a different time zone sometimes. my time zone is right now. his timezone is in just a minute.
i find that if i want david to live up to my expectations, i have to be VERY CLEAR and detailed about them.
i was always the one to get up with baby in the middle of the night. mainly bc i'm a light sleeper, am the only one with nursies, and i never have a problem going back to sleep. on the other hand, david can't function on interrupted sleep BUT he is great at getting up early in the morning and keeping babies and children quiet and happy. so he'd get up at 6:30 and i would pass the baby to him and go to bed for another couple of hours.
it was an arrangement that we were both happy with!
Holy crap…just tonight I was giving my son a bath and he was so excited. I told him “go tell daddy you need a towel. Get a towel.” (He's 2 so you have to repeat the important part) So I hear him tell Daddy FOUR times “Towel Dada.” Then he starts to cry. I get him in the bath and yell from the top of the stairs “Is there a reason you were ignoring your son?!” The response, “Oh. I didn't know he was talking to me.” WTH?!?!?!?!
ahhh, thank you for that.
Stopping by to give you a big welcome to the SITSahood. We are so glad you could join us and look forward to seeing you around!
