Once in a blue moon...

(Getty Images)

Nights like tonight happen just "once in a blue moon!"

The term "blue moon" generally refers to the second full moon in a month and occurs just once every 2.7 years. The last blue moon to shine on New Year's Eve was 19 years ago, in 1990.

No matter what your plans are
I wish you peace
love

safety
and joy!

My new year's resolution is to find the joy in the moment
and to not let people or circumstances steal it away from me.

What is yours?

Happy New Year, Karin!

I don't really have any new goals for the new year-- just the same ones I always have. What can I say? I am a constant work in progress!

(and I would love to lose a few pounds. but i also love whipped cream and caramel on my cappuccino.)

I love the word "joy" (I'm using the plural Latin word of "joy" for my blog title, by the way -- and planning to give the same name to my daughter, one day).

I summarize my New Year's resolutions in one word (as I did for several past years). This year I'm using the word "growth", since I'm hoping to witness some growths in all aspects of my life. But maybe the most wanted is a growth inside my belly. Yes, I hope to get pregnant this year *crossing fingers*.

Good luck with your New Year's resolutions and Happy SIT Saturday Sharefest :)

Oh, by the way, I looove your blog template, too ;)

That's a hard resolution - good luck! Also I think I owe you thanks for a great bread recipe that I tried but now I can't remember exactly where I found it. I think here. If so, thanks!

I'm a proud Christian homeschooling mother of 5 and wife to a Road Warrior CEO. Four of our children came through the miracle of IVF and 1 through the miracle of adoption. Before I became a home educator I was a interior decorator, event planner, store owner and professional organizer! Now I get to use my past professional skills (and a few new ones) to the benefit of my family and our home.
