I'm actually shocked because I've always liked standard poodles, so clearly this one is a case of bad breeding. That happens.
This dog is aggressive. Even if it is a white fluff ball (not the one pictured above).
If anyone is driving or walking in the vicinity it lunges towards them jumpking 3-4 feet in the air and barking like a mad, well dog.
I warned a friend about this dog.
Yesterday it attacked her dog (that was on a leash).
Actually the dog was on a leash too but with all the jumping and out of control behavior it got away from the owner.
Luckily my friend and her dog are fine.
Luckily, my children weren't attacked by this dog.
I can assure you I would have promptly called animal control had that been the case.
I'm an animal lover but I'm also a believer in acting as a responsible pet owner.
I hear this new neighbor's solution is to put the dog on Prozac.
It doesn't sound like much of a solution to me.
I feel it needs a muzzle when its out of the house.
I personally would never own such a pet.
I'm sure this isn't going to make me popular around the club house with these people, but so be it. Someone has to act like a grown up.
Would you have reported this to your HOA?

If it was something that happened once then no, I probably wouldn't. But if the owner refuses to do anything about it, even though they KNOW the dog is dangerous, then yes, I definitely would. Especially if I had kids!
(Prozac? Really?)
In a heartbeat. Aggressive dogs cannot be trusted. I just photographed a man with half a missing ear because his brother's family pet a Chow dog attacked him. He fought the dog off the best he could. He's had six surgeries on his face. This was a family pet too.
I've photographed many children over the years that also have had facial scars because of dog attacks. To me it's a risk that is just too high. The dog needs a mussel at the very least.
Honestly, I have known only a few standard poodles and they were all a bit hyper and aggressive.
I'm with Pooba, if it was once, no. More than once, yes!
Ok, I am a dog LOVER but, I'm with Laura Kay. Do you need me to make this dog disappear? I have people, you know. ;)
I don't know if I would report this or not. I, too, am an animal-lover, but aggressiveness in dogs can be a very serious matter. (I can't believe they'd give the poor thing Prozac... nutty!!)
