The bain of my existence

Yes, I am having one of those weeks with my picky little eaters.

I have tried everything.
There was operation starve the children
which was a dismal failure.

My children were hiding in the pantry eating cereal.
It was horrible!

Then we cut out milk.
Seriously.
My kids could live on milk alone.
They would drink their milk and throw the rest of the meal out.
Every time.

Then I pretended not to care.
Didn't work.

Now I'm resulting to ranting and raving
like a crazy person.

Ever say anything just completely stupid to your kids
and then wish you could suck it back in
before they realize what a moron you are?

Yeah, that was me.

I told them I wasn't even going to bother cooking dinner anymore.
Or going to the grocery store.
"Just eat whatever you want and make your own meals".

um, Dr. Phil?
It's just not workin' for me!

I have picky eaters, too. This is funny.

I tried to reply to your direct message, but you're not following me, so Twitter won't let me reply. This was my response about scope and sequence.

I start with my goal & the end in mind. From there, I work backwards to develop scope of learning and convert to daily plans. Of course, I was limited to 140 characters (smile)!

Oh my goodness, we have those weeks too! I can't tell you how much my kids love milk, we have to limit them and only give them more if they eat what is on their plate. I hate picky days and we have quite a few of them here. I hope it gets better and don't worry about looking like a moron we all do at one point, I think it is all part of being a mommy!

Have a good 4th of July

We've all been here! I swear that isn't a baby/toddler that isn't a picky eater. All those moms who say my kids eat EVERYTHING...I give them the evil eye and secretly adore them (how DO they do it?).

Hope it gets better! When you find the secret, let me know!

Found you on SITS. :)

I battle every day with my 20-month old. I can't understand why she won't eat! Who doesn't enjoy food? I sure do! Let me know if you find something that works. I like your blog. I'm going to follow you. I found you from clicking on another site. I'm doing a lot of blog hopping these days. ~Mandy
