That said, I'm really proud of Miss California and how she not only stood up for her beliefs, but answered truthfully, regardless of the consequences, and most importantly, acknowledged that God has a plan for her life and that winning the pageant was obviously not part of the plan and she accepts that.
Here is a clip, in case you missed it.
I hope it's bigger and better things for her.
I think she is a good role model, but obviously that's not what the Miss USA Pageant is looking for these days. Too bad.

This is a really interesting controversy. It does seem like the lesson learned is to not have strong opinions and to straddle the fence rather than risk offending someone. Although beauty pageants have come along way, perhaps they are still a little backward in just wanting ladies to be beautiful to look at, but not to be intelligent, outspoken, or individuals. That really seems to be the message they are sending. Speak your mind and you lose, give a generic peace and love answer and you get rewarded???
Thanks for sharing this video. I watched it and am very impressed with Miss California. She glorifed God and no doubt she will continue to do so. As you said...Onto Bigger and Better things for her!
She may not have won the crown, but I bet she'll do well regardless! I respect her decision to stay true to her Biblical beliefs.
I think she did right too!
Why is it that freedom of speech is only acceptable when it goes with the popular opinion??? geesh!
