Birth Verse

Have you heard of birth verses? A birth verse consists of 366 verses chosen from the 66 books of the Bible. Each verse correlates the chapter and verse with its month and day. Needless to say it is also inferred that these verses should really speak to you and that you would commit them to memory and ponder them thoughtfully, pray over them, and reflect.
I was curious about what mine would be so I checked it out. Here is what mine said, and I actually think it's perfect for me.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NIV

What better verse for an insomniac homeschooling mother of 4 under six years old? I often need reminders to come to Him. My reflex action is to carry the burden myself. How patient our Lord is with me as I enter my 38th year of life.
You are a child of God, His treasured possession. He created you in His own image. He chose the day for you to be born. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Cherish your birthverse.
Are you curious about your birth verse?
Find out what yours is here and then tell me if you think it fits you.

Mine was
Joshua 1:9 NIV
...Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

its a nice scripture.. but not sure if it describes my life.. also wouldn't it all be subjective to what stage in life you are at.. yours fits your life now.. but 5- 10 years ago???

I also usually only read the King James Version of the bible.. I think I like its version better

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be thou not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

well its good to know that the Lord goes with me where I go.. cause i need it :)

This is my birth verse:

Isaiah 9:6 NIV
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

It's an awesome verse! =)

(left something for you on my blog)

mine is:

Philippians 3:8 NIV
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ

Love this! And I love my verse:

Luke 12:7 NIV
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Thanks for the encouragement!
