The latest thing going with the kid set is "Bento Box" lunches. As a homeschool mom this could easily be something I could avoid.
But alas, I want to be one of the cool moms.
There, I've said it.
When my kids open their lunch boxes on co-op day, I want them to have the fun lunch.
I want them to be excited about it.
And if I can trick them into trying new foods, all the better!
So, I'm going Bento ladies.
Who wants to join me?
I promise there is great online shopping and bento accessories to be had.

Here's the scoop on Bento Boxes:
- Derived from "o-bento" which is what the Japanese call a packed meal.
- The portions are small and kid friendly---focus is on being visually attractive and compact
- Healthy foods are encouraged and are usually the norm (although obviously you could pack anything) in Japan it follows their food pyramid.

The former party planner in me cannot help but think this would be a great box lunch for a ladies spa day! The exhausted homeschooling mommy in me is thinking that a spa day with only 2 stale crackers thrown in a ziplock bag sounds great too!

My sister brought up the whole bento thing to me last year when she was in search of boxes! I thought it was a great idea... especially since all kids love just a little of this and a little of that.
But I must say that I could never make such a creative picture like that spa chick on the bottom. WOW!
I had my first aromatherapy facial last week. Talk about niiiiice. It was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep-- apparently, that is a compliment to them. :)
