Now, before you start calling social services let me tell you that it is not my intention to starve the children. In fact, experts say that they will not starve. They will eat. However, I am doubtful. My kids are VERY picky eaters with extremely stubborn personalities, obviously they get this from Big Daddy's side of the family. Obviously.
But something has to give and so in complete and utter desperation I am trying what others before me have done. I can only hope I live long enough to talk about it.
I am NO longer making multiple meals.
There is a new cook in town and she isn't taking orders anymore.
They will have to eat pasta with actual sauce on it... and maybe even a meatball!
Meals that include meat products will be regularly featured and I'm not talking hot dogs.
As pleased as I am that they will eat edamame, carrots and broccoli. I'd like to see us expand our vegetables. Maybe even eat something (other than carrots)raw and try some salad dressing.
They will have to eat what the adults want to eat, and the adults do not want to eat a constantly rotating menu of: peanut butter and jelly, organic mac and cheese, hot dogs, scrambled egg sandwiches, frozen waffles, grilled cheese, bagels, and fruit salad.
It is not going to be pretty.
Wish me luck----I'm going in!

I'm there too! With our youngest it's a constant fight to get him to eat! (He'll be 6 in Feb).
But he'd love the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet of waffles, PB&J, & crackers if you'd let him!
